Our Mission

Life Recovery Center exists to help people find freedom in recovery.

Our Logo

Life Recovery Center

Body - Mind - Spirit

The current logo of Life Recovery Center was developed in 2019 by Co-Founder and Executive Director Dr. Eric Davis. The three brush strokes represent the trilogy of self; Body, Mind, and Spirit. All are affected by substance abuse and related issues and may be improved with needed support, knowledge, and skills. Together they represent the transformation from a life of turmoil to a life of health and happiness and how recovery can reshape our lives.

The green brush stroke is the body, representing the physical aspects of recovery. It is the transformation of the body from a state of poor health and self-destructive behaviors – to a state of improved physical health and wellness. It also points to the importance of physical work in recovery, such as going to meetings, talking to others, and ensuring one is taking care of their body.

The orange brush stroke is the mind, representing the mental aspects of recovery. It is the transformation of the mind from a vessel of addictive thinking to one of honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness to move forward in one’s recovery. It also represents an improved self-image and the knowledge one may use to continue to improve their life after treatment. It is indicative of how one can change their entire life by changing their thinking.

The blue brush stroke is the spirit, representing the spiritual aspects of recovery. Step two of the twelve steps speaks about the belief that a power greater than ourselves can restore us to sanity. The blue brush stroke is at the top because it is from this power that the answers will come. It represents the individuality of the spiritual journey for each and every person. It is the spiritual awakening one is promised as a result of working the twelve steps and maintaining conscious contact with a Higher Power of their own understanding.

The logo, as a whole, represents Life Recovery Center and the holistic philosophy we teach, integrally addressing the needs of body, mind, and spirit for a successful recovery program.
